STUCO Conference

I was honored to attend the STUCO conference, where I had the privilege of presenting at a session. I presented the session on our schools “Be the Change” unit and discussed other service projects we did last school year. Honestly, I was very frightened about speaking, but once it was over I thought I had done well.

Another session I attended was on Pride and Patriotism. l learned ways to celebrate different holidays, and how to make people feel good. There was also a session about Teacher Appreciation where I learned many cute ideas. (Most of those ideas included candy or chocolate!) We also colored rocks and put happy quotes on them. There were therapy dogs there who did tricks. We were treated to pizza, water, and a cookie for lunch. The STUCO conference was fun and informative.

NTLA leaders attend Texas Association for the Student Council’s District 3 Middle Level Workshop in Lake Dallas on October 7, 2017. At the conference they presented last year’s service projects that led to them receiving the TASC’s Community Service Award! #NTXLA
