NTLA leaders recognized for service at “Be the Change” reception ›
NTLA student leaders were recognized for the positive impact they made in the community at NTLA’s annual “Be the Change” reception Tuesday, May 23rd. The leaders’ efforts benefited 25 Dallas/Fort Worth area non-profit organizations!
At NTLA, students complete a service-learning project each quarter. For the fourth quarter, the PreK students and their families volunteered their time to pick up trash on North Texas Leadership Academy’s Adopt-a-Street in Keller while the older leaders, Kindergerten-8th grade, worked individually or in small groups to assist a Dallas/Fort Worth-area non-profit organization of their choosing. They met with a representative of the organization to learn what they needed then formed a plan to help fulfill that need. The organizations they chose to serve included 6 Stones, Beautiful Feet, Broadway Baptist Church: Agape Dinner, Christ Haven for Children, Classy Cats, Don’t Forget to Feed Me, Fox Food Box, Humane Society of North Texas, Hurst Animal Shelter, Legend Assisted Living & Memory Care, March of Dimes, Metroport Meals on Wheels, Mission...

Kudos to NTLA's leaders that performed in the spring 2017 PSIA Area 2 One Act Play competition! The cast received 3rd place/alternates for state competition for their performance of Wanted: One Groom. In addition, Chay and Jacob were named All-Star Cast and Liam received All-Star Cast Honorable Mention!
